
Darley Tom is a connector at heart who believes in the power of community to spark lasting change. As Managing Partner at Maverick Collective, she brings nearly 20 years of cross-sector experience to designing bold, purpose-driven initiatives that inspire action and deliver meaningful impact.
Since joining Maverick Collective in 2019, Darley has shaped the organization’s approach to experiential philanthropy, curating high-impact journeys that align people, ideas, and purpose to drive real-world change. Her career began in journalism at ABC News, where she honed her storytelling skills before advancing public and international programs with the United Nations, the USDA, and the United Nations Foundation. She later served as a Director of Marketing for the global hospitality brand Park Hyatt, gaining valuable insight into luxury markets and global businesses. Together, these experiences allow Darley to blend creativity with strategic execution, navigate complex public-private partnerships, and build authentic connections that accelerate impact.
She is a published author in the Journal of Virology for her research on Hepatitis C and holds a Master’s in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University. Outside of work, Darley channels her creativity and energy into sculpture, gardening, and archery.
