​​Samyu (she/her) is a Program Intern at Chicken & Egg Films, supporting application review for the Research & Development Grant and (Egg)celerator Lab. She also works at Hard Working Movies, contributing to the development and production of feature documentaries. Samyu holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Journalism from NYU and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Statistics from UC Santa Barbara. She hopes to help build an archive of diverse and nuanced stories, both from behind the camera and in the audience. She is currently working on her first short documentary about a dance-theater artist in rural Southern India. Samyu enjoys photography, and is working towards fluency in her mother tongue, Tamil.
