Kanishka Sonthalia (she/her) is an Indian documentary filmmaker and photographer. She produced and co-directed Until I Fly, an Indo-French co-production with BBC Storyville and France Télévisions. The film premiered at Thessaloniki and won the 2024 TRT International Documentary Award. She served as a cinematographer for the Emmy-nominated project Inaccessible Cities. Her photography and documentary work has been featured in TIME Magazine, Bloomberg News, and Financial Times. Her practice is centered on long-term immersion and the ethics of consent in vulnerable social contexts.
